Holiday Office Party 2013 was a smashing success!!
It is not easy putting together an event that an entire organization will like and enjoy! We all are different and therefore we like different things. I believe the office holiday party should be an event that is fun, entertaining, festive, and does not feel like an extension of the workplace.
I have been hosting office holiday parties since 2008 and it does not get easier. You are always looking for ways to make it bigger and better! In the early years, I did them solo but the last 3 years, Dedrick Makle has been my partner in party planner. This year we pulled it off with a new venue, new DJ, new graphics (Developed by Bill McCloskey) and a surprise female vocalist, Jackie Bryant. All the makings for a great night!!
However, the highlight of the night was the fashion! I must give a big shout out to all my coworkers who pulled out some great outfits. The men stepped up their game this year with sequin blazers, plaid vests, velvet jackets and bow ties. As usual, the night belonged to the women. We had beautiful women in outfits that ranged from a classic jumpsuit to dresses in an array of colors and sequin, and then topped off with beautiful accessories and shoes! I was in “fashion heaven” and loved every moment!
Of course no party is complete without the Cupid Shuffle (http://youtu.be/h24_zoqu4_Q) and The Wobble (http://youtu.be/qd6UI6wEIsU)! We work hard and play hard!!!!
I hope everyone had a great night!!
Safe travels to all my co-workers who are headed home to be with family and loved ones!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
